FAQ
Answers to commonly asked questions about our practice
Do you accept my insurance?
No. We are a small practice that believes in providing the highest quality of care and personalized approach.
We'd rather spend our time with you than with your insurance company. If you do have insurance, we will work with you to submit a superbill. You might be able to be reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses through those out
of network benefits.
How much does it cost?
We offer a sliding scale for our services that is based on your income. We offer the same high quality care regardless of your income. Please see our "Costs" page for more information.
Who will be my provider?
You will see Chris Lewis, PA-C. Chris has more than 15 years of experience as a PA-C. Chris has additional post-graduate training in psychiatry and is currently doing a 12-month supervised fellowship in psychotherapy for PAs, NPs, & physicians. Please see our team page for more information about Chris.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. We are accepting new clients starting in March 2025. To schedule a consultation please call us or schedule a consultation on our patient portal.
Do you prescribe controlled substances like Xanax, Ketamine, and Ativan?
In general, we do not prescribe controlled substances. We are happy to refer you to one of our trusted practices
that do prescribe these medications if that is what you feel you need. In limited circumstances, we may prescribe ADHD medications for adults.
Where are you located?
We provide neurodivergent and LGBTQ affirming mental health care in Phoenix, AZ. We offer telemedicine services to LGBTQ and neurodivergent clients anywhere in Arizona.
Do you see children?
At this time we do not see children. We are working on expanding our services to include children and teens in the future.
What is a PA-C?
A PA-C is a Physician Assistant (also known as Physician Associate). A PA-C has a masters degree in medicine, has passed
a national board exam, and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Arizona by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.
What if I have a therapist?
That is great! We are happy to work with your current therapist and medical team to coordinate your care.
We will evaluate your need for psychiatric medications or other medical evaluation and work together with the rest of your
care team to find the right medications, supplements, or other treatments for you.
